Unfortunately, we will not send any players to the Junior Orange Bowl this year. We have done a great effort to examine the situation and find a way for the players to play in the tournament but there are too many obstacles and risks. A few reasons why we have taken this decision:
- The pandemic in the US is at a very bad stage right now and will not get any better after the holidays.
- The organization of the tournament is not showing us sufficient protocol information and they are not able to grand us an exemption for the travel restrictions.
- The U.S. Embassy has informed us that the tournament does not meet the criteria for a National Interest Exception to Presidential Proclamation 9993.
We hope to be present at the next Junior Orange Bowl 2021, which will be played in January 2022.
